NEC NP4100 installation projector takes on large venue integration projects

NEC 4100 Installation Projector

Audio visual specialist Advanced Inc. can now help customers tackle even the most demanding integration projects with the NEC NP4100 projector.

Designed to meet the needs of users requiring exceptionally bright light output for large venues and areas with high ambient light, this model features brightness up to 6200 lumens, making it ideal for larger-sized screens and rooms with minimal lighting control such as auditoriums and training and network centers.

NEC 4100 Tilt-Free InstallationTilt-free installation
The NP4100 can be rotated freely (360°) in order to point up or down depending on the installation requirements.

Flexibility enables performance

  • 6200 ANSI lumens
  • Vertical and horizontal lens shift enables flexible projector placement
  • Ships lensless with a complete line of optional bayonet style lenses (5) for quick and easy lens exchange. Optional lenses enable the user to determine the appropriate lens to cover projection distances between 2.6 – 283 feet.
  • Dual or single lamp operation. Selectable settings allow for multiple light outputs and extended lamp life
  • Power zoom and focus simplifies installation and operation
  • BrilliantColor™ technology can dramatically increase system brightness and color saturation at mid and low video levels, while optimizing color gain across the full color gamut
  • DynamicBlack™ technology allows for dramatic improvement in the black level of the video, producing incredible detail in dark scenes
  • Advanced color management adjusts for input type (high-bright, presentation, video, movie, graphics and sRGB)
  • For applications requiring maximum brightness, a 4-segment color wheel is pre-installed. For video quality color reproduction, a 6-segment color wheel is included.
  • 1W of power consumption while in stand-by mode.

Integrated networking and asset management

  • Integrated RJ45 connection for quick connection to the LAN (10/100 Base-T capability)
  • Remote diagnostics enable the user to monitor and make adjustments to the projector via the network from a remote location
  • Built-in HTTP page allows for control and monitoring over a LAN network. Email notification of error messages or lamp end-of-life can be sent to remote locations.

Extending the life of the projector

  • Extended use operation for the most demanding applications
  • ECO Mode™ technology extends lamp life by up to 25%
  • Quick Power Off protects the lamp during the cool down period if the power is removed by unplugging the power cord or when the power strip is switched off. Lamp temperature is monitored internally during this period to prevent unit power on until the lamp is properly cooled.
  • Sealed optical block minimizes the effects of dust, helping to ensure the delivery of crisp, distortion-free images
  • Lamp power switching timer control saves lamp life and reduces power consumption.

Unique features

  • Automatic signal detection instantaneously connects with the live source
  • Flexible video/data connections, including S-Video, component video, three computer inputs (VGA, RGBHV, DVI with HDCP), and monitor output

Philips 3G UHP Lamp System

Advanced Inc. is pleased to announce the 3rd Generation UHP  (’3G UHP’) lamp system from Royal Philips Electronics is now in mass production.

This new generation of UHP lamp systems will shortly be available for both Business and Consumer Front Projectors. The first shipment of Front Projector sets with the 3G UHP lamp systems inside is expected to roll out in March 2009.

Philips intends to have the new product platform prepared for a wide power range upgrading the existing lamp systems to ’3G’ over time. Now available to order through Advanced Inc., this new generation of UHP lamp systems is suitable for both Business and Consumer Front Projectors.

The novelty of this 3G UHP lamp system concerns its fitness for next generation small sized micro displays. • Long Lifetime
  • Guaranteed System Reliability
  • Outstanding Brightness
  • Stable Picture Quality

Safety Concerns around Projector Lamps

There are several options available when replacing the lamp in your projector. Some are safer and more reliable than others.

The dangers of re-bulbing

Advanced’s new projector lamp division, Projector Lamp Experts, recommends that only brand new lamps made by reputable manufacturers are purchased for replacement. We have taken the decision to exclude any type of lamp refurbishment/re-bulbing from the services we offer to our customers.

Mercury Hazard

We have concerns over the safety and quality of lamps that have been re-bulbed and feel it would be unprofessional to put the safety of our customers and their equipment at risk. The deposition of poisonous mercury on the lamp’s casing, and the fact that replacing just the bulb means that other parts subjected to heat damage during the lamp’s operation (like the reflectors and connectors) remain unchanged, are the principle reasons behind our decision.

APO – the cost effective way

For those seeking a more cost-effective way to replace their projector’s lamp, we offer APO branded compatible lamps where these are available. APO is a high-quality ISO9001 rated manufacturer of compatible lamps that tests each lamp for beam performance, lamp life, connections and appearance, so you can trust them to work flawlessly in your projector. APO lamps are typically up to 30% less expensive than the alternative made by the original projector manufacturer, and so present a high-quality yet cost effective way to replace your lamps. APO lamps are supplied with a double warranty covering both the lamp and your projector against premature lamp failure.

For more information on replacement lamps, including our new APO range, contact a Projector Lamp Expert at 1-866-773-7770 or visit
