Advanced partner The John McGivney Children’s Centre recognized in Intelligent Community of the Year Competition

Advanced Presentation Products would like to congratulate one of its partners, The John McGivney Children’s Centre who was recently recognized for their exemplary usage of SMART Technology in working with children having special needs and rehabilitation requirements.  The use of SMART Boards and the SMART Table as tools to assist children have been found to have a major impact in assessment and instruction at this Windsor based centre.  Their exemplary programs and teaching methods are kept current with Ministry of Education guidelines and directives.

Earlier this year, Windsor and Essex County was recognized as one of the Top 7 most intelligent communities in the world by the Intelligent Community Forum.  The Intelligent Community Forum which is based in New York is a think tank that studies the economic and social development of the 21st Century community.  The ICF seeks to share the best practices of the world’s Intelligent Communities in adapting to the demands of the Broadband Economy, in order to help communities everywhere find sustainable renewal and growth.

Featured in a video submission to the ICF, was the work undertaken at the centre and how they are utilizing leading technology such as SMART boards to maximize learning outcomes.  Click here to see the video.  (5:41 – The John McGivney Children’s Centre)
