Supplier to audio visual specialist Advanced Inc., AverMedia has won the red dot design award for innovation, functionality and quality for its SPB350 document camera.

Within the past year, AVerMedia has also won an iF product design award for its CP300 flexible neck document camera, both products were also winners of 2008 Taiwan Excellence Awards.

The Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen stages the red dot design award annually.

It is divided into the “red dot award: product design”, the “red dot award: communication design” and the “red dot award: design concept.”

The red dot design award attracted more than 10,000 submissions from 60 countries in 2008. Each year an international jury reviews and evaluates the submitted products according to criteria such as degree of innovation, functionality and the formal quality.
