Advanced Inc. announced today that it has achieved one of the audiovisual industry’s most highly regarded certifications from the International Communications Industries Association Inc. (ICIA®) – The Certified Audiovisual Solutions Provider (CAVSP) designation. The CAVSP program is the ICIA, standard certification program for companies in the professional audiovisual industry.

“A CAVSP designation gives audiovisual companies a competitive advantage in the marketplace,” said Randal A. Lemke, Ph.D., ICIA’s Executive Director. “Customers of audiovisual communications and presentation systems can be confident of professionalism and an aspiration to excellence when working with these companies that have invested in education and training to stay current on the latest AV technologies and techniques.”

“And in Canada, where there are very few companies that have attained this level, this is certainly something for Advanced to be proud of,” added Lemke.

Mark McPherson, Managing Director of Advanced Inc., stated “with such a high percentage of our technical and sales staff trained and certified, Advanced continues to substantiate our leadership in the Canadian audiovisual industry. Our commitment to education, training and certification confirms for our clients they will receive the best technical expertise the industry can provide. We will now set our sights on achieving the next level of certification which would separate Advanced from every other Canadian audiovisual service provider.”

The CAVSP certification level is determined by the percentage of technical, sales and customer service personnel who are ICIA certified. To become certified, the ICIA requires sales, customer service and technical staff to have and maintain the CTS (Certified Technical Specialist) certification.
